Donna Anderson says she was leaving for work yesterday morning around 6 a.m. when she saw a frightened woman huddled on the ground just past the mailboxes across the street.

“The guy came up behind her, put his arm around her, and she noticed that he had a gun,” says Anderson. “The first thing she says, can you help me. I have just been raped.” Police say the attack wasn’t a rape, but a sexual assault.

Even so, it was a chilling crime on a quiet street around the time of the morning school buses start collecting kids. Anderson says the woman who was attacked had just walked her son to a bus stop. Anderson says the attacker shoved the mother into a gap between two homes and pulled off the woman’s pants.

Police say a neighbor heard the woman crying for help. The attacker ran away. Another young lady came up with her dog and noticed a young guy between 15 and 17. Sedley Road in Green Run is several blocks long.

On one end, neighbors knew nothing of the attack. On the other, homeowners said police went door-to-door looking for witnesses. Anderson believes the attacker was a teenager, probably in high school.

And if that’s true, students might know who he is. Police said he was 5-foot-11 and slender. He wore a dark, hooded sweatshirt and dark shorts, that stretched to the middle of his shins. One of the pants legs had a triangle emblem on it. If you know who this is, call police at 1-888-LOCK U UP.
