Route 460 will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the town of Windsor

Posted

ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY –Beginning Monday, Apr. 2, crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close one lane in each in direction, on Route 460, near the Church Street intersection. The lanes will be closed for concrete repairs on the Route 460 west bound lanes.  This traffic pattern will remain in place (24/7) until May 1, 2012.  One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction on Route 460 at all times.

During the lane closures, crews will repair all travel lanes of Route 460 and short sections of Route 603 and Route 610, creating a smooth driving surface through the intersection.

The following roads do not have direct access to Route 460: Bank Street, Church Street, North Court Street, and South Court Street. The traffic signal at the intersection will be on flashing yellow facing Route 460 traffic and on flashing red for North Court Street traffic. This specific detour will remain in place until all work is complete.

The detour will be as follows:

Route 460 west bound lanes to Church St. and North Court

Turn Right on Roberts Avenue and follow to Church St.

Turn Left on Church, Turn Right on Duke, Turn left on ‘A’ avenue to North Court.
