This year’s tax deadline is next Tuesday, April 17.

But a word of caution if you are on the roads that day. Researchers combed through 30 years of data, and concluded that the number of traffic fatalities increases on tax deadline day by six percent.

They could not pin down an exact reason why this happened, but they speculate that drivers may be more stressed and distracted than usual.

Don’t forget – NewsChannel 3 is taking action to help relieve the stress of filing taxes.
