The Navy says they have recovered and removed all of the parts of the FA-18 that crashed into the Mayfair Mews Apartments last Friday.
Today, the apartment manager Earl Mawyer told NewsChannel 3 that he still has trouble walking through the crash site.
"There are things people never can get back, and my heart goes out to them. But at least they have their life. We all have our life," says Mawyer.
A week later, Mawyer is still at the scene- this time he is alone. No one else from the apartment is with him. Though his tenants didn't show up today, he says they aren't far from his mind.
Though the investigation to find out why the jet crashed is far from over, Mawyer says he takes comfort in knowing they all have each other to get through this.
Mawyer adds," It has been a journey and it's going to be a journey from this time on, but we are going to make it."
