Florida drug-testing requirement reportedly costing taxpayers

Posted

New details have emerged about a Florida program requiring folks to be drug tested before getting welfare.

Apparently, the program is now costing taxpayers.

The law was signed last May.

Everyone must get a drug test to receive their welfare benefits.

According to the New York Times, Florida has lost more than $45, 000 since the law went into effect.

Apparently, denying the benefits is what's costing the state more money.
