Tuesday night was the last chance for people to speak in front of the Virginia Beach City council about school budget cuts.
Teachers, parents, and Beach taxpayers bombarded the city council demanding more money for their schools. It was standing-room only in the chambers and nearly 100 school supporters spilled into the halls outside.
One at a time, they walked to the podium to speak about their passion for student education.
One of the big things that worried both teachers and parents was the bigger class sizes.
With school positions on the chopping block because of the proposed cuts, bigger classrooms will be a reality next year.
Many just hope the message will get through to the men and women who were elected to represent them.
