The wife of Vice President Joe Biden was in Newport News today.
Dr. Jill Biden visited students at Lee Hall Elementary.
She was in town as part of an initiative helping military members and their families.
Dr. Biden talked about how it is important for schools to make sure kids from military families have their needs met in school.
The school district says 42 percent of Lee Hall Elementary School students come from military families.
