Portsmouth car shop owner says he was pistol whipped and shot

Posted

A Portsmouth man was pistol whipped and shot in daylight and police say the man responsible is still on the loose.

In the car shop's surveillance video, you can see a man walking in and out of the garage.  Addy Egungobi, the shop's owner, says out of nowhere, the man pulled out a gun and was ready to kill him if he didn't hand over some cash.

"He just hit me with a gun.   WHAM!  He said 'Where the money at?'  I said 'What money. I don't have any money man,'" says Egungobi.

The robber shot Addy in the leg and another bullet grazed the top of his head.

While his wounds are still healing, he can't get over the fact that this man is still out on the streets.
