Most people have an image in their mind of what homelessness looks like, and the reality is - it can happen to anyone.
The VA is seeing a rising number of female vets from Iraq and Afghanistan becoming homeless. It reflects the growing number of women serving on the front lines, who come back from war suffering from PTSD and other mental illnesses and never get treated.
NewsChannel 3 found one of those women with an amazing story to tell, and she is urging others to seek help like she did.
