Do you remember where you were when you heard the news that local Navy SEALs had killed Osama bin Laden?
One year ago tomorrow, Virginia Beach SEALs infiltrated his compound.
It was late on May 1, 2011 when the SEALs landed on the ground in Pakistan.
As part of Operation Neptune Spear, SEALs raided bin Laden’s home and killed the al Qaeda leader successfully ending a reign of terror that started with the bombing of the USS Cole.
President Obama and members of his cabinet watched in silence as the raid started.
Later, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said no one breathed as they watched the SEALs on the ground.
It would be later that night when President Obama delivered the news.
The president has released a new campaign video about the death of bin Laden.
The ad talks about him making the right decision as commander in chief to go forward with operation Neptune Spear.
But some critics are saying bin Laden’s death shouldn't be used as a campaign stunt.
