Black kids don’t get the same treatment in the emergency room as white kids according to a new study released by the CDC.
Researchers surveyed 2,000 kids who sought treatment for abdominal pain in over 500 hospitals.
Out of this, the study found 39% of black children were less likely to receive painkillers compared to their white peers.
The study also showed black and Hispanic kids were more likely to be in the ER for more than six hours even when undergoing the same testing as white children.
