A freak accident killed a 21-year-old man in Gates County when severe weather caused part of a tree to fall onto his car while he was driving down the road.
The man has been identified as Anthony Demetrice Walker, Jr. from Gates County.
This happened just after 7 p.m.Tuesday on Middle Swamp Road about a mile off Route 158.
Deputies say the victim was the only person in the car.
