According to a press release from VDOT, Colonial Trail (Route 10) between Holly Bush Road (Route 618) and Rolfe Highway (Route 31) are closed for a single vehicle accident that downed power lines at 7:30 a.m. this morning.
Local police estimate a six hour closure for the utility repairs.
Motorists will be detoured during the closure:
• Traveling east on Colonial Trail (Route 10 west), motorists take Route 618 to Route 31
• Traveling east on Colonial Trail (Route 10 west), motorists can turn left on Route 618 to Route 626 towards Surry
• All tractor trailer traffic will take Route 31 south towards Wakefield to access Route 460
