NewsChannel 3 has an update on the mold in Lincoln Military Housing.

Since we aired our original stories, the health complaints have been endless: bloody noses, respiratory infections, and even new cases of asthma.

But we never heard of a life-threatening sickness from any Lincoln resident - until now.

She lays confined to a hospital bed, poked and prodded by nurses, and hooked up to a machine that helps her breathe - because she can't do it by herself.

"Trying to breathe now, I have to think about it, because it's hard."

Navy wife Heather Coleman lives in Lincoln Military Housing, and her home was just one of at least 200 that the company admits had enough mold to warrant professional remediation.

Even after the company moved her family to another home, she still ended up in the ICU at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.

"I can have a good day, think things are coming around, and out of nowhere, my lungs will seal up on me, can't breathe."

As Lincoln remediates hundreds of houses and moves families into newer, cleaner homes - could the mold still be following them?

"To me, my house is a death sentence."

Find out what is quickly becoming the new frontier on the military mold fight - coming up tonight on NewsChannel 3 at 6.
