A home invasion caused two Virginia Beach schools to go on lockdown.
It happened around 11 a.m. Friday morning on Ashlawn Terrace, in the Lynnhaven section of the city.
A man living at the home says two men rang his door bell.
When he answered the door with his 3-year-old by his side, the men pulled out a gun and demanded money.
The robbers got away empty handed.
No one was hurt, police say.
