Suffolk police say they found 100 pot plants at a house on Vicksburg Road in Suffolk.
Leslie Vanhoose, Justin Carr, and Johnathan Brown were arrested for manufacturing marijuana, each of the plants was fully grown and able to produce a pound of pot.
All three suspects say on their Facebook pages that they work as landscapers or with plants. They ran a wetland nursery out of their home.
Neighbors say it appeared to be a legitimate business, with trucks and equipment moving in and out regularly.
Day laborers often met at the house before going out for work.
Neighbors say the family knew almost everything there was to know about plants, even giving them helpful advice on their own plants.
They say they grew blueberries, peaches, and apples, and according to police, marijuana.
Neighbors tell NewsChannel 3 there were often loud parties going on late in the night at the shed behind their house.
None of them were surprised to hear the news that police arrested the trio for growing 100 pot plants on the property.
Police found not only drugs but alcohol that was being produced.
All three have been charged with manufacturing marijuana and conspiracy.
Twenty-four-year-old Justin Carr also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
