Desmond De’Andre Brown has been arrested in connection to a carjacking that occurred in the parking lot of Majestical City in the 5800 block of Jefferson Avenue in Newport News at 2. a.m. on April 30.
A man reported that he was sitting in his car along with his six-month-old child waiting for his girlfriend to get off work when three black men approached him with a gun, got into the car and forced him to drive to his home.
Once at the home, the suspects allegedly stole the victim’s X-Box, cash and numerous credit/debit cards belonging to him and his girlfriend.
The victim says that the suspects tied him up and left with his vehicle.
He was able to break free and he found his baby outside.
The vehicle was later found in the 600 block of 40th Street.
Brown is in the custody of the Newport News City Jail on similar charges in another case of carjacking.
