Lawmakers were back in Richmond today to consider Governor Bob McDonnell's amendments to Virginia’s two-year, $85 billion state budget.
The governor made 88 amendments to the budget. One of the more debated ones was linking a 3% state employee bonus to performance.
That amendment was handily defeated by the General Assembly. It's expected to be a long night for lawmakers who are already a month behind on their schedules.
