USS Stout sailors Duane Milner and Tracy Green are behind bars, accused of robbing two women at gunpoint at two different Norfolk motels. Navy officials told NewsChannel 3 police are looking for a third sailor implicated in the robberies.
According to search warrants filed in Norfolk Circuit Court, a victim told police a man knocked on her door at the Motel 6 on North Military Highway on May 4, 2012. Court documents then said "multiple suspects entered the room producing handguns." The victim said the robbers stole money, a stereo, and Jordan sneakers from the room.
The documents said a few hours after the first incident, another woman said a man knocked at her door at the Days Inn Hotel on Chambers Street. When she opened the door, court documents said a "male entered the room followed by more suspects who were armed with handguns." Documents said the robbers stole a computer, gold watch and cell phone from the room.
The search warrant affidavit said once police were able to figure out Green's involvement in the robberies, the sailor gave a full confession and implicated Milner. A search warrant for Milner's car reveals police found a knife, stereo, black bandana, computer and gun magazine.
According to the Navy, the third sailor connected to the robberies is assigned to the USS Ramage and on an unauthorized absence. Navy officials did not release the sailor's name.
Both Milner and Green declined NewsChannel 3's requests for interviews.
