Virginia Beach school nurse honored
Landstown High School Nurse, Carol Bluestein, was recently named the Virginia Beach City Public Schools 2012 School Nurse of the Year.
As part of National School Nurses Week, Mrs. Bluestein was honored on May 3 with a surprise visit from VBCPS School Nurses Association president Heidi Sowala of Pembroke Elementary School and Mary Shaw, the division’s school nurse coordinator in the Office of Student Leadership.
Nurse Bluestein has been at Landstown since the school opened in 2001.
This is her 11th year with the Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
