UPDATE: Battlefield Boulevard – Crews have secured the gas leak and have reopened the road. Traffic is moving again.

According to officials, emergency crews are responding to a gas leak located in the 100 block of South Battlefield Boulevard. Crews have closed off the section between Cedar Road and the Great Bridge Bridge.
Albemarle Drive is also closed from Battlefield to Holt Drive.
It is unknown at this point when the area will reopen.
Officials say drivers should use Route 168 to avoid the area.
