Norfolk, Va. – Police are currently searching for a man who robbed Beach Bay Food in Ocean View Saturday morning.
Police say a robbery was reported at the store at 11:46 a.m. after a man entered and drew a sawed-off shotgun..
According to police, the man fled and was believed to be hiding inside a nearby apartment building. Police surrounded the building, and in an initial press release said the man was in custody, but the suspect was not found.
No one was hurt in the robbery, and the man got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
