AXTON, Va. — Two teenagers have been charged with setting a fire that destroyed a Henry County church.

Henry County Public Safety Director Dale Wagoner said a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old have been charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit arson, arson of a meeting place and grand larceny. All are felonies.

The fire occurred on May 20 at the New Holy Deliverance Outreach in Axton.

The names of the teens haven’t been released. Wagoner said they’re being held without bond in a juvenile detention center.
