A Hampton man accused of stabbing his mother to death has been found not guilty.
A judge recently found 29-year-old Vernon Goodson not guilty - by reason of insanity.
Goodson admitted to killing his mother last year and stabbing his father when he was a teen.
But he says he blacked out both times - describing the acts as uncontrollable.
He killed his mother last July in her home on Greenbrier Avenue.
A hearing in July will determine whether Goodson will be released or committed for treatment.
