FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – A Missouri family says a newborn baby girl is lucky to be alive after being born in a toilet.
Dawana Jones says her sister called her on Thursday morning warning her something was wrong.
“She called me and said my water broke and I`m on the toilet,” said Jones.
Ferguson police say an officer arrived to the home on Dupree and helped pull the baby to safety. Jones says paramedics detached the umbilical cord.
