The USS Stout, the Norfolk-based guided missile destroyer, hosted the Legion of Valor.
Sixty-six veterans from all branches of the military toured the ship.
The group got to check out some of the ship`s critical controlling stations including the pilothouse, the combat information center, and engineering spaces, while sailors walked them around and answered questions.
Guests included WWII fighter aces, Korea-Vietnam-era fighter pilots and combatants from recent/current conflicts along with family members.
Current sailors say they were honored to hear the vet’s stories.
