A North Carolina teenager is due in a Currituck courtroom on Monday.
According to police, Rebecca Blackmore gave birth to baby girl last year inside her family’s Knotts Island home.
She then had a family member take her to Chesapeake Regional Hospital.
That’s where, police say, she told them she gave birth to a baby and that it was dead lying in a closet.
A medical examiner determined that the baby was born alive, but was stabbed to death.
