A house committee is considering a bill that would reverse driving restrictions in Cape Hatteras.
Right now, you need a permit to drive on the beach.
Also, certain parts of the beach are off limits to vehicles during certain months while other parts are restricted year-round.
The rules were set by the National Park Service to protect wildlife.
Supporters of the bill say driving on the beach is good for small businesses in the Outer Banks.
The house is expected to vote on the bill sometime this week.
