A Norfolk-based coast guard lieutenant will spend close to two years in jail for her part in a fraud scheme.
Lieutenant Danielle Ferreira pled guilty to stealing almost $150,000 from the government.
She confessed to awarding government contracts to unqualified family members.
Ferreira also admitted she overcharged other contractors - and deposited that money into her the bank account of her husband's business.
