Newport News fire crews say during today’s storms, there were several trees and wires down in the Southeast part of town.
They say they have not received any reports of storm-related injuries in the city.
Officials say there was a report of a boating emergency near the Newport News Shipyard.
Three people were towed to the marina safely.
