Two men were killed in Norfolk. They were found Monday night inside of a home on Sycamore Street.

Who shot them is still a mystery to police. On Tuesday, police identified the victims as Marcel Russell and Christopher Alexander.

Another man who lived in the home says Russell is Alexander's uncle. Some of Russell`s friends came by the house.  It's still too fresh for them to fully grasp the two men were killed.

"He was just with my brother over at his house talking about being my brother`s best man at his wedding and he`s gone," said Joann Whitehurst. "I told my brother just last night, life is too short."

The motive is unknown at this time. Forensic detectives and a dozen police officers were looking for any clues as what led to the men being shot.

"He was probably just a victim of circumstance," Whitehurst said. "I just hope that he's in a better place and that he didn't suffer. I hope that he didn't suffer.

Police are not saying how they learned that the two men had been killed. They're only saying they got a phone call around 8:30 Monday night, but aren't saying if it came from inside the house or from a neighbor or passerby.
