After hours of searching, federal investigators say they have not found stowaways aboard a cargo ship.

The ship, now docked in New Jersey, was supposed to be in Portsmouth on Friday.

But it was held up early Wednesday morning after Coast Guard officials reported hearing knocking coming from inside a shipping container.

Both federal and state officials used x-ray machines and brought in K-9s but found no one.

Officials report searching about 160 containers.
