Chasing a robbery suspect ended with a crash in Chesapeake involving a state police officer.

Officials say it all started with an armed robbery on Kecoughtan Road in Hampton.

Police say 22-year-old Christian Johnson of Hampton had a gun and robbed a 7-Eleven last night on Kecoughtan Road.

Johnson got cash and took off - but a witness called police - and followed the car Johnson was in until officers arrived.

Police chased Johnson's car from Hampton into Chesapeake.

Officials say it all ended around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night on Western Branch Boulevard -  with a crash.

According to State Police, one person was hurt, but refused treatment at the scene. No word yet if it was the trooper or Johnson.

Troopers are not releasing any information on the chase or the crash this morning, but Hampton police say Johnson was arrested.

This morning Hampton police told NewsChannel 3 that Christian Johnson faces several charges for the robbery at the 7-Eleven. They say more charges are pending for the chase.
