“Super Load” may cause back-ups tomorrow

Suffolk officials say a pair of super load moves involving two sections of a modular home could cause delays in traffic Friday, July 6, 2012, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The trucks moving the modular home sections will start the move in Hampton, Virginia and travel from I-664 to Route 58 westbound to Route 13/58/460 Suffolk Bypass to Route 647/Chappell Drive to Route 610/Buckhorn Road ending on Route 739/4900 block of Deerpath Road.

Officials say the loads will measure 14 feet,11 inches tall, 16 feet wide, 93 and 95 feet long and will weigh 54,000 pounds.

Suffolk police and certified front and rear escorts will accompany the move.
