Gloucester, Va. – A man and woman were found dead in their home in Gloucester Friday night in what officials are investigating as a murder/suicide.
Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 6900 Block of Ware Neck Road around 6:30 Friday night to conduct a welfare check on two residents at the request of family members, who had been unable to make contact with them.
The residents, an adult man and woman, were found dead from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to each victim.
The man and woman were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Richmond and autopsy results are pending.
The case is currently under investigation as a murder/suicide by the Gloucester Sheriff’s Office and no further details are available at this time.
