Norfolk police are trying to find the father of an 8-year-old boy who accidentally shot himself in the foot Sunday.
They say Rodney Emil Holley hasn`t been seen since before the shooting happened Sunday on East Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Once found - Holley faces seveal charges. Police say Holley left his son unattended at home.
They say he also has a criminal past.
"The suspect is a convicted felon and as a convicted felon, you`re not allowed to have a weapon."
Police say the 8-year-old is recovering at CHKD.
