Hampton police search for carjacking suspects

Hampton, Va. – Hampton police are searching for suspects in a robbery and carjacking that happened yesterday.

Police say at 12:25 a.m., Hampton Emergency Communications received a 911 call in reference to a robbery and carjacking that occurred in the first block of Santa Barbara Drive. 

According to officials, the victim arrived home and was approached by two unknown suspects as he was getting out of his vehicle. The first suspect brandished a firearm, and demanded money and the victim’s car keys. He then assaulted the victim. The suspects then drove away from the scene in the victim’s Tan 2001 Toyota Camry bearing Virginia handicapped license plates 3461N. 

The suspects are described as black males in their early 20s, between 5’10 and 6’2. They are described to be between 160 pounds to 190 pounds.

Police say the first suspect was last seen wearing a white polo shirt, tan colored pants, and armed with a firearm. The second suspect was last seen wearing a grey shirt and light colored pants.
