The Department of Defense announced the deaths of two soldiers supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Staff Sgt. Carl Hammar, 24, died July 14th in the Khost province of Afghanistan.
He was stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
Sgt. Erik May, 26, was killed on the 14th in the Ghazni province of Afghanistan.
He was assigned to Fort Riley, Kansas.
