On Thursday, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell will be in Iowa.
He will be campaigning for republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Back in May, the politicians visited Portsmouth.
Governor McDonnell's name has come up as a possible running mate for Romney.
There has been no official word if the Governor is being vetted for the job.
