Virginia Beach, Va. – The UFL Champion Virginia Destroyers will kick off their season on the road against the Omaha Nighthawks on Friday, September 21st.
The Destroyer’s home opener will take place at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex at 7pm Friday, October 5th against The Sacramento Mountain Lions.
The Destroyers confirm that 2011 season ticket holders will be able to renew their season tickets once tickets go on sale.
The UFL’s four teams will play eight games, concluding the regular season on the nights of Wednesday, Nov. 7, and Friday, Nov. 9. The UFL’s fourth championship game will take place on Friday, Nov. 16, at 9 p.m. ET., at a site to be determined.

“We’re proud of what we were able to accomplish in 2011, but this is a new season and, in a lot of ways a new league,” Schottenheimer said.
