Virginia Beach, Va. – A teen bicyclist is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle on General Booth Boulevard near the intersection of Harbour Point after the Rudee Bridge.
A preliminary investigation revealed the teen rode directly in front of the vehicle and was struck, sending him airborne over the vehicle.
The teen was transported to a local hospital with head injuries and is listed in critical condition. Police say his injuries do not appear life threatening.
There are no charges pending against the driver of the vehicle at this time. The driver was not injured in the accident.
