PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Coast Guard says there was a report of an injured boater approximately 60 miles east of Chincoteague, Va., Wednesday.
At about 3:50 p.m., watchstanders received a report from the fishing vessel Potluck of a crewman who was severely injured while working lines.
Crews issued an urgent marine information broadcast and launched a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City in Elizabeth City, N.C.
