New details about the health of our children – there may be some good news in some new tests.

Cholesterol levels in children are dropping.

According to new research, total cholesterol and high cholesterol levels have dropped in the last two decades.

The American Medical Association study tested 16,000 kids, ages six to 19. Researchers tested them three times between 1988 and 2010.

They found the number of kids with high cholesterol dropped from 11 percent to eight percent.
