Gold medalist and Virginia Beach native Gabby Douglas is thanking her fans on Facebook before leaving London.
"Thank you to all of the wonderful people who always supported, prayed and cheered for me. Your beautiful words make me smile," she wrote.
Here at home, some local artists are showing their support.
It only took four days for the brothers Todd and Eric Lindbergh to paint and finish the mural.
And Gabby Douglas approves by tweeting, "Wow! This is amazing."
If you want to see the mural, it's on the side of AJ Gators Sports Bar and Grill in Virginia Beach.
That's the Holland Road location near Windsor Oaks Boulevard.
On Tuesday night, Gabby will join the rest of the “fab five” on Late Night with David Letterman.
