According to our sister station WTVR, a judge dismissed the National Slavery Museum’s bankruptcy case Friday morning after an anonymous donor came forward to pay the back taxes owed to the City of Fredericksburg.
Former Virginia Governor Doug Wilder also set up a payment plan to pay off the millions the National Slavery Museum owed to the project’s architect.
Wilder, who was not in court, but represented by his attorney, owed Fredericksburg $300,000 in back taxes for the project.
