Virginia Commonwealth University is kicking off a five-year branding campaign today geared toward selling the school as a top-tier research university to future students, donors, and faculty.

The campaign aims to set up the university for a national audience.

VCU is spending $500,000 on the re-branding campaign, which includes a new school seal and logo.

The university turned to two advertising and marketing agencies to help it come up with the campaign.
