James City County police are hoping you'll take action and help them find who has broken into 70 cars since May. Though all of the vehicles, police say, were left unlocked. They call it a "crime of opportunity."
Police say items like GPS units, wallets and purses have been taken from the cars in areas like Fox Ridge and Adam's Hunt. Investigators think the same people are responsible for all of them, but they just don't know who they are.
Police are asking for your help, if you know something about these car thefts, take action and call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Reward money is available if your tip leads to an arrest.
