It may not be quite as fast as one of those NASCAR vehicles, but it will get you from Norfolk to DC and back for under $80.
The new Amtrak route starts this December.
It's part of Virginia's Northeast Regional Service Extension.
Amtrak is still working on the new station next to Harbor Park for the new program.
When it's ready, you can leave Norfolk and won't have to switch to a bus or another train until you reach Boston.
That trip will cost you $73 one way. For the city of brotherly love, it's $51. You'll be able to travel to New York City for $63.
