Suffolk police have closed one lane of Route 58 westbound in the area of the entrance to the Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA) Landfill following a three vehicle accident.
Officials say it happened at approximately 11:27 a.m. Tuesday morning. There are no major injuries reported.
There is an active diesel spill at this location with units expected to be on the scene for an extended period of time for recovery and clean-up, according to the City of Suffolk.
A tractor trailer involved in the accident was carrying grain.
