ACLU files lawsuit on behalf of KKK in dispute over roadside sign in Georgia

Posted

The American Civil Liberties Union has filed suit against the state of Georgia on behalf of the Ku Klux Klan.

The KKK wants to adopt a roadside sign, but their request was denied by the Georgia Department of Transportation because of the organization's history of violence.

The ACLU claims the sign is a form of free speech.

Local leaders in Georgia have said in the past that a sign sponsored by the KKK is not how they want to represent the area.
